All Blacks boss hails team’s focus after thrilling five-goal victory

Ghana Premier League

All Blacks head coach Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi credited his side’s discipline and sharp transitions for their dramatic away win over Dreams FC.

His players were rewarded early when Rudolf Mensah finished a flowing move to open the scoring midway through the first half.

Dreams hit back almost immediately as Suraj Seidu buried a penalty to restore parity.

The hosts then nudged ahead when Yaovi Chris Guede reacted quickest inside the box, but their lead didn’t survive the half.

Just before the interval, Abdul-Aziz Adam struck to pull All Blacks level.

Straight from the restart, Benjamin Adjei delivered what proved to be the decisive moment, guiding his effort beyond the goalkeeper to make it 3–2.

Speaking after the match, Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi praised the mentality that carried his team through the contest.

“We defend well and try to make transition and try to score. We focus a lot [to win away games] and we try a lot. This is a very successful one and I hope we can keep doing this.”

The win marks All Blacks’ first away triumph in six attempts this season.

They turn their attention to another tough test against Young Apostles on November 30.
