Ghana defender Alidu Seidu has been named in the Black Stars squad for the October World Cup qualifiers after spending more than eight months on the sidelines.
The 25-year-old was out of action for 250 days due to a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury that forced him to miss 24 matches for his French Ligue 1 club Rennes.
The setback also kept him away from national team duties since November 2024.
Seidu has now regained full fitness and returned to competitive football, featuring in four Ligue 1 games this season.
His comeback is a boost for coach Otto Addo’s side as they prepare to face the Central African Republic in Morocco on October 8 before hosting Comoros in Accra on October 12.
The Black Stars sit top of Group I with 19 points and are seeking to confirm their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
