Alhassan Wakaso helps Rio Ave breeze pass Union FC in Portuguese Cup

Highly rated Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso continued his solid start to the season with another effective display to help his side to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Union FC in the Portuguese league.

Wakaso, is enjoying his best start to life in the Portuguese league this season and transferred the rich vein of form to the Portuguese Cup over the weekend.

The former Portimonense man absorbed everything thrown at him without breaking a sweat, and wheeled forward occasionally to add as an attacking outlet for his side in the 3-0 victory on Sunday.

The 23-year-old’s performance is gaining attention with each passing week as he was one of three players who contested his sides player of the month for September.
