Alexander Djiku thanks Ghanaians for massive support in Angola win

Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku has thanked Ghanaians for their support in the victory against Angola on Thursday.

The West African giants beat Angola 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium following a strike by Antoine Semenyo in the dying embers of the match.

Djiku, who suffered injury in the game and was later replaced by Joseph Aidoo, took to his Twitter page to show gratitude for the over 40,000 fans.

“Strong team spirit. 3 pts. Focus on the next one. We thanks all Ghanaians for the support and love.”

The victory today sees Ghana tops Group E with seven points from three games.

The Black Stars will travel to Luanda to play the reverse fixture on Monday, March 27.
