Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku was on target for Fenerbahçe but could not prevent their 3-1 home defeat to Glasgow Rangers in the Europa League.
Djiku was introduced in the 16th minute, replacing Çağlar Söyüncü, who picked up an early knock.
However, Fenerbahçe fell behind just seven minutes into the game when Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring for Rangers.
Djiku leveled the game in the 30th minute, giving the home side hope but Rangers restored their lead before halftime, with Václav Černý finding the net in the 42nd minute.
The visitors continued their dominance in the second half, and Černý struck again in the 81st minute to complete his brace and seal the victory.
Meanwhile, Djiku will now shift his focus to maintaining his form ahead of the upcoming FIFA international break, as Ghana prepares to face Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
