Manchester City’s James McAtee has caught Ajax’s attention, identified as a possible successor for Mohammed Kudus, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Kudus, who boasted an impressive record of 18 goals and six assists in 42 matches for Ajax last season, is drawing interest from West Ham and Brighton. Discussions between Ajax and Manchester City are underway regarding a potential transfer for McAtee.
The 20 year old spent last season on loan at Sheffield United where he scored nine goals and provided four assists in 43 appearances.
While the pursuit of McAtee remains contingent on Mohammed Kudus’ departure this summer, West Ham has earmarked the 23-year-old Ghanaian for their shortlist. West Ham’s potential move for Kudus hinges on the status of Lucas Paquetá, with the Brazilian rumored to be a Manchester City target.
