Ahinful says after watching Ghana struggle to beat Benin in a 2010 World Cup qualifier on Sunday, he is still confident the quality of Ghana’s players will secure a place in SA 2010 but is not so certain of the quality of coaching. “There are clearly technical issues,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “Some of the decisions for Sunday’s game did not help the team like playing Inkoom on the left.” But the biggest problem, Ahinful says is the inability of the coach to communicate in English “very well”. “There were times when you clearly saw he wanted to get something across to the players but it was difficult. Communication is such an important thing in football and I feel it is not one of our strong points.” Ahinful says with communications a problem, it will be a good idea to bring in Hearts of Oak’s Kosta Papic to assist Rajevac. “I have heard rumours that Papic may be drafted in to assist Rajevac and I think it that is a good idea because he is Serbia, speaks fluent English and understands the local system. If they add Kwesi Appiah then that should be fine.”
