Agogo mulls Zamalek exit

The top scorer for Ghana in the last year was the surprise exclusion from the party to face Benin in the opening game of the final phase of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac claimed the striker was not in the right frame of mind for the crucial game, yet the player says he was hoping for a call-up for a lift. “After all the disappointments, I was hoping the national team would give me a lift. It didn’t work that way, which is naturally a disappointment for me,” he told KickOffGhana.com. Agogo, who has been having a running battle with Zamalek officials, says the situation in Cairo is not improving and has hinted he will seek a move away in order to preserve his national team place. “The national team is so important, but unfortunately the situation is not improving, which is not good for my national team prospects. I will examine my future with them and fight back to gain my place in the squad.” He says the problems at Zamalek are beginning to take a toll on him, but insist he is strong enough to bounce back and enjoy his football again.
