Prince Tagoe has called on Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to stay with Hearts of Oak until the end of the season.
Barnieh has established himself on the domestic scene, having featured for Ghana’s Under-20 side that won the AFCON in 2021, Black Meteors, Black Galaxies and the Black Stars.
The 21-year-old whose current contract expires on December 17 is being chased by a host of clubs abroad.
The youngster has been discussing his future with the Ghanaian giants for the past year but there is yet to be a major breakthrough in the negotiations.
Speaking on Angel TV, the former Ghana forward called on Barnieh to extend his deal in order to end the season with the Phobians.
“Afriyie Barnieh must end the season with Hearts of Oak.” Tagoe told Angel FM.
“He has to take the right decision because this will determine his future whether he can go far in his career or not. He should be very careful with his contract issues.”
Barnieh was part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
He is currently with the Black Galaxies as they intensify training ahead of the CHAN tournament in Algeria next year.
