Genoa are interested in signing Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah possible next summer, according to reports in Italy. Â
The 21-year-old has returned to the Italian Serie A on loan at Parma from German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini worked with Acquah at Palermo where he played a key role in his career development.
“I do not really know anything. Genoa has not contacted me and I do not know anything about a possible interest for Afriyie,’’ the player’s agent Oliver Arthur said.
‘‘He is very happy at Parma, he wanted to come back and he got it.”
Acquah made eight appearances for Parma before the winter break.
