African Games Men’s Football Tournament: Ghana drawn in Group A to face Benin, two other countries

The draw for the men’s football tournament at the upcoming African Games has been held successfully today, Thursday, February 1.

At the end of the draw, host Ghana will be competing with Benin in Group A.

The other opponents in Group A include The Gambia as well as Congo

In Group B, Nigeria will compete alongside South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda and Tunisia.

The football tournament for the African games will be played by the U20 teams of the various countries.

Ghana’s Black Satellites are currently training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram as they continue preparations for the African Games in March.

U20 Head Coach Desmond Ofei and the technical are working with 30 players to prepare for the competition.

The 13th edition of the African will start in Ghana from Friday, March 8 – Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Below is the outcome of the draw for the women’s tournament at the African Games.
