AFCON qualifiers: Injuries hit Ghana camp ahead of Angola trip

Four Black Stars players will miss the trip to Angola for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Monday.

Skipper Andre Ayew, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu and Denis Odoi have all been ruled out of the crucial Group E encounter due to injuries.

Head coach Chris Hughton will have to make do with a depleted 21-man squad.

The Black Stars will depart Accra on Saturday afternoon for Luanda ahead of the match on March 27, 2023 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.

Ghana recorded a narrow 1-0 win over the Palancras Negras in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday.

The four-time African champions sit top of the standings with 7 points after three rounds of matches.
