Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey has returned to training with Brighton’s first team after recovering from a knock sustained in the clash against West Ham on March 4.
Lamptey underwent series of scan supervised by the Brighton medical team which expedited his quick recovery.
The injury was expected to keep the defender out for a couple of weeks but it he appears to be in shape and in line to feature in the club’s next game.
The return of the 22-year-old is a major boost for Black Stars ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Angola later this month.
He has also been named in Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers squad as the Black Stars host their opponent on March 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium before travelling to Luanda for the reverse fixture.
Lamptey has played four games for the Black Stars since switching nationality in September.
