In a strategic revelation ahead of the pivotal clash with Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Mozambique’s head coach, Chiquinho Conte, outlines his provocative approach.
The encounter is set to take place in the last Group B game at the Olympique Alhassan Ouattara Stadium on Monday, with kick-off scheduled at 20:00 GMT.
Coach Conte, addressing the media in anticipation of the high-stakes match, declares his intention to provoke the Ghanaian team, acknowledging their individual talents, including the likes of Kudus Mohammed.
“We are going to provoke the Ghana team. We know they have quality, but they don’t have peace of mind,” Conte tells the media.
“We have assessed the Ghana team and know their strengths and weaknesses; we are aware they tend to play more individually,” he adds.
With both Ghana and Mozambique securing one point each after two games, the winner of this crucial encounter will secure advancement to the next stage of the continental tournament.
