Former Ghana international Maxwell Konadu has urged Black Stars team to “prepare well” for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Ghana is among 24 qualified nations to participate in the tournament in Ivory Coast in the search for their fifth AFCON title.

The Black Stars are drawn in Group B with Egypt Cape Verde and Mozambique.

“We just need to prepare well for the tournament. At this stage, every invited player must be ready to give 100 percent,” Konadu told Kesseben TV.

“We need maximum support from the public and the players themselves must also play their heart out, it’s very important.”

The tournament will kick off on 13th of January to 11 February.

The Black Stars will engage Namibia in a pre-AFCON friendly at the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday night.
