The Black Stars will start camping at Johannesburg, South Africa on December 31 as part of preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations, the Ghana Football Association has announced.

The team will hold a couple of training sessions – which is not open to the public – before facing Botswana in an international friendly on January 8.

Two days later, the contingent then leaves for Cote D’Ivoire for the AFCON which begins on January 13 and runs until February 11, 2024.

Coach Chris Hughton is expected to submit his final 27-man squad in the coming days.

The Black Stars are pitted in Group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
