Former AshGold head coach, Thomas Duah, expressed his unwavering optimism about the Black Stars advancing from the group stage at the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

Ghana finds itself in Group B alongside formidable opponents, including Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.

Despite the competitive oppositions, Duah firmly believes in Ghana’s potential to secure a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.

“I think Ghana can secure qualification from the group stage at the AFCON. The spirit is always different during tournament so I think things will go on well for us,” Duah remarked with confidence.

“We have been there before so qualifying from the group stage is assured and l believe the players and the technical team will be of help.”

The 2023 African Cup of Nations is scheduled to commence on January 13, 2024, and run until February 11, 2024.
