Ghana coach, Chris Hughton has admitted to not knowing much about the country’s opponents Cape Verde and Mozambique in the group stages of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars will face seven-time winners Egypt, as well as Cape Verde and Mozambique.
“Egypt are a very experienced side, very experienced AFCON campaigners and I think they have more wins than any other country. For sure, they are very tough opposition,” he said.
“And of course, Mozambique and Cape Verde, are two teams that I don’t know so much about. However, we will do all of our homework, over these coming months, watch their games from now, and before the tournament starts.
The Black Stars are currently in America where, preparing for two friendly games against Mexico and USA.
The tournament is set to commenced on January 13th to February 11th in 2024.
