Aduana Stars’ Public Relations Officer, Evans Oppong, has emphasized the importance of securing a victory against Karela United when they face off on Monday. The match will be held at Nana Agyemang Badu Park as part of matchday 30 of the Ghana Premier League.
Oppong spoke confidently about the team’s chances against Karela United, citing their recent victory against Goldstars upon their return to NAB 1 Park after the ban. He added that they could not afford to drop points in their second home game, especially since they are on the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 51 points after 29 matches.
He also appealed to corporate Ghana and other companies in Dormaa to allow their workers to come and support the team, given the importance of the game. He acknowledged that it would be a busy day in Dormaa, but expressed hope that the fans’ support would help the team emerge as victors.
“We defeated Goldstars upon our return to NAB 1 Park after the ban. We won’t drop points in our second home game when we take on Karela United”
“Our game is on Monday and it is a busy day in Dormaa but we will plead with corporate Ghana and other companies in Dormaa to allow their workers to troop to the stadium to support us”
“Our game against Karela won’t be easy but with support from the fans we can emerge as victors”
Aduana Stars’ closest contender, Bechem United, is only three points behind them in the league table.
As such, Aduana Stars will be looking to secure maximum points against Karela United to maintain their position at the top of the league.
