Aduana Stars charged for failing to ensure match officials safety in Kotoko clash

Aduana Stars have been charged by the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee over failure to ensure safety of match officials and supporters misconduct.

The game in question ended 2-1 in favour of Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions has been charged on two count by the Disciplinary Committee of the domestic football governing body.

According to an update on GFA’s regulatory actions, Aduana Stars have violated Section 16 of the Disciplinary Code, 2019 of the Premier League regulations. The charges stem from reported inappropriate behaviour exhibited by fans.

Again, Aduana Stars allegedly failed to ensure the fans of match officials during the game.

The Dormaa-based club have been given until Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to respond to the charges.

Aduana Stars are second on the Ghana Premier League standings with 36 points after 21 matches into the campaign. The fire boys are trailing log leaders Samartex by just three points and with a game at hand, Aduana Stars can catch up should they win their outstanding game.
