Aduana FC Chief Executive Officer Collins Atta Poku says the club is determined to cement a top-four spot in the Ghana Premier League and end their long wait for silverware by capturing their first-ever FA Cup title this season.
The Dormaa-based side has been in superb form, recording four consecutive league victories that have propelled them to the top of the table.
With 18 points from eight matches, the two-time Premier League champions have leapfrogged Medeama to occupy first place, rekindling belief among their supporters.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Atta Poku outlined the club’s dual objectives for the campaign.
“The target is to finish in the top four,” he said.
“We have never won the FA Cup before, so we have targeted winning that. The last time we won the league title was in 2017, and we are approaching 10 years without a trophy.
“We’ve told the team to lead us into the top four and also win the FA Cup.”
Aduana’s resurgence this season has been driven by a solid defensive record and improved away form under their technical team.
However, their resolve will be tested this weekend when they host second-placed Medeama SC at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in what promises to be a top-of-the-table showdown on Saturday, October 8.
