Aduana FC coach Cioabă Aristică has sent a clear message to his management: the current squad isn’t strong enough to win the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League — and he needs five new players to keep their title hopes alive.
The two-time champions currently sit third on the log with 29 points, just behind Medeama and Asante Kotoko, both on 30 points.
Speaking after a 2-2 comeback draw with Young Apostles on Sunday, Aristică highlighted the impact of injuries and suspensions on his squad:
“You know I have injuries. One central defender, our captain Alex Boakye, is injured, and the quality that replaces him is not the same. The same is happening in our midfield, where Seidu Saana was suspended and is also injured. The striker, Emmanuel Marfo, our top scorer with six goals, is very important to us.”
The Romanian tactician didn’t hold back on the squad’s limitations:
“I gave one clear message to our management before this game. I told them that I needed some positions filled because if we go with this squad, I will not have a chance of winning the league title. I tell the truth, and if the management listens and brings the five players I need, it is possible to fight for the top spot. If they do not listen, I will not have the team to go and fight for the league title.”
Aduana now turn their attention to hosting Vision FC in Matchday 17 at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, hoping to keep their title charge alive while sending a strong message that squad reinforcements are urgently needed.
