Addy takes sollace in experience

Addy started at left back for Randers in their third qualifying round match against Hamburg who run away with a 4-0.

It all but means Addy’s first foray into European football will come to an end soon but the national U-20 player says it’s been worth every while up to this point.

“Defeats like this are not pleasant but it is also important that in the three qualifying rounds so far I have played and given myself a great deal of confidence. I feel like a much better player now,” he told KickOffGhana.com.

Addy now hopes he will develop into a more regular player for Randers who also have former Asante Kotoko defender Issah Ahmed on their books. Ahmed started from the bench in the Hamburg defeat.

The defeat for Randers was part of a mixed night for Ghanaian players involved in Europe’s second tier club football competition.

National U-20 striker Dominic Adiyah saw his side Fredikstat concede six goals at home but John Paintsil had much better luck, playing in Fulham’s 3-0 win on the road in Lithuania.
