Media reports say Red Star have reported the Ghanaian to European football governing body Uefa and world football controlling body Fifa and want a ban imposed on the player for effectively going Awol.
“We have already contacted Fifa and Uefa, and we will send a new letter asking to carry out monitoring, to determine where the player is,” Red Star secretary general Djordje Stefanovic said.
“It is possible to get a ban imposed on him or a fine or both. The ban could affect his participation for the national team since he was on national duty.”
But Addy disputes that version and says he has communicated his ongoing battle with Red Star.
“I have spoken to Red Star and sent them medical reports that shows I am indeed down with malaria and undergoing treatment here so I am surprised this is coming up again”, he told KickOffGhana.com.
