Addy, who is the only outfield player in Milovan Rajevac’s squad for Angola who plies his trade at home, has looked solid in his only international game so far against Angola and is the odds on favourite to partner Eric Addo at the heart of Ghana’s defence.
He says he is taking nothing for granted and is just desperate to put in the hard work at training in order to convince Rajevac he can fill in for John Mensah.
“For me being here already represents a big opportunity,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “I am in the midst of a team with players who play in Europe and going to a tournament that features some real big names. My attitude is to take this as a chance of a lifetime. I want to play of course but I also know I must work for it.”
