The 22-year old missed out on the world cup after his switch was delayed due to complications in Norway’s dual nationality laws but he was issued with a Ghana passport two weeks ago and is waiting now for FIFA’s word on the switch. “He has his passport now so we have moved on that and sent the necessary documents to FIFA. We are waiting for their decision now,” GFA vice-present Fred Pappoe told KickOffGhana.com. Kwarasey has played for Norway, the country of his birth at Under-20 level but is still eligible to play for Ghana where his father hails from. He has been in fine form this season for Norway premier division side Stromsgodset helping them to the Norway Cup final and is keen for the switch to happen to fulfill what he says is a lifelong dream to play for Ghana. If the switch goes through, it will increase competition in a goalkeeper department that has been dominated by Richard Kingson who has held down the position considerably well despite barely playing well at club level.
