Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has assured Ghanaians that the Accra Sports Stadium will be in top shape ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali on September 8, 2025.
Speaking on Peace FM, the respected sports administrator stated that all necessary preparations are underway to provide a world-class experience when the Black Stars return home to face the Eagles under the floodlights.
“The stadium will be perfect for playing so that our Stars will exhibit great football,” he said.
Before the Mali showdown, Coach Otto Addo and his team will first travel to N’Djamena to face Chad on September 4 at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno. That match kicks off at 1:00 p.m. GMT, while the return fixture in Accra will kick off at 7:00 p.m. GMT.
