Accra Lions gave their Premier League survival hopes a massive boost with an impressive 5-3 victory over Aduana FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Matchday 31.

The Lions were ruthless in the first half, racing to a stunning 4-0 lead before the break. Faris Tahiru got the opener in the 13th minute, slotting home from a well-delivered freekick by Fuzy Taylor.

Lucky Nwafor then struck twice, on 30 and 40 minutes, with Musa Hamzata adding a fourth in between with a composed finish.

After the restart, Salman Tahiru made it five in the 61st minute, nodding in a precise freekick from Lawrence Setordjie.

Aduana FC managed a late fightback, with Opoku Peprah netting twice in the 80th and 86th minutes.

Emmanuel Marfo added a third in stoppage time, but it was too little, too late.

The win sees Accra Lions climb to 13th on the table with 35 points, now three clear of the drop zone. Aduana drop to 11th on 41 points.

Next up, Accra Lions will face Hearts of Oak, while Aduana aim to respond against Legon Cities.
