Accra Lions confirm transfer of midfielder Abdul Rashid Abubakar to Bosnian side FK Sarajevo

Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Rashid Abubakar has signed a deal to play for Bosnian top-flight giants, FK Sarajevo.

The 22-year-old established himself as a key midfielder for Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions FC.

Although it was the first time he was playing top-flight football, the midfielder excelled and finished the season with high praise.

Following a show of interest from FK Sarajevo and successful talks with Accra Lions FC, the player has now been transferred.

This has been confirmed by the Ghana Premier League side in an official Facebook post.

“Accra Lions Football Club can confirm the departure of midfielder Abdul Rashid Abubakar to Bosnian powerhouse FK Sarajevo. The 22-year-old has been instrumental for us in our maiden Ghana Premier League campaign,” a post on the Facebook page of Accra Lions FC has said.

The statement adds, “ALFC wishes Rashid the best of luck in this exciting new step in his career.”
