The Italian champions are back in action this weekend as the San Siro welcomes Bologna this Saturday evening following on from one win and a draw in the opening two games for AC Milan just as the away side sit without a win so far in the league.

It’s been a massive struggle for Bologna so far this campaign and Serie A has not welcomed them into 2022/23 at all well.

So far, all they have to shout about after three games is the Coppa Italia win over Cosenza where Nicola Sansone scored in the second half in a game dominated by the Serie A side.

Bologna did manage to have 10 shots on target that day with 23 efforts in total for Bologna, as they saw 65% of the ball too.

At the same time as their dreadful run of league form, Siniša Mihajlović’s men have been very ill-disciplined so far this campaign as well, with Bologna getting a red card in both games as Riccardo Orsolini was sent off against Hellas Verona, just as Adama Soumaoro was shown a red card against Lazio.

The club would draw 1-1 with Verona that day, as they registered just three shots on target, saw less of the ball and looked defensively wide open against a side struggling to keep goals out right now.

Bologna went on the road next, before losing to Lazio away from home as Ciro Immobile got the winning goal.

AC Milan, on the other hand, had a slight scare in their 4-2 win over Udinese on the opening weekend as they went 1-0 down inside two minutes that stunned San Siro.

However, after four goals, Stefano Pioli’s men ended the game with all three points in a 4-2 victory as they proved their worth early on in their attempts to defend the title.

A 1-1 with Atalanta would follow, where they once again looked promising at times in attack as Ismael Bennacer scored once again.

Milan are the clear favourites here, and in reality, it should be an easy three points in the bag for the Rossoneri. Bologna have still managed to score a goal in both league games so far, however, this won’t be enough to get all three points at the San Siro against a relentless Milan.

Forebet predicts a win here for the home side and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
