Abdulai Gazale gives up on league title after Olympics defeat

Asante Kotoko Coach Abdulai Gazale has given up on the chase for the title league title after the defeat to Great Olympics on Thursday.

Kotoko succumbed to a 2-0 defeat which leaves them eight points shy of top spot.

“Looking at the away performance and attitude of the players. I wouldn’t be fair to myself and the fans by promising them the league title,” Gazale told media after the game.

“Because anytime we plan of securing points from our opponents at their home venue, we end up giving away the points.

“We can’t continue to play like this and expect to finish on top of the league table

The Porcupine Warriors will host Tamale City at the Baba Yara Stadium in the next fixture on Sunday.
