Ghana’s Abdul Aziz Yakubu scored in Wuhan Three Towns’ thrilling 4-3 victory against Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League on Saturday afternoon.
Abdul Aziz Yakubu started the game at Changchun’s People Stadium and lasted 73 minutes.
The head-to-head record for the teams before the game was Changchun Yatai one win, Wuhan Three Towns two wins, and no draws.
The away side had a lot of possession and shots throughout the game.
Jores Okore gave Changchun Yatai the lead in the 7th minute. He scored a header from very close range to the bottom left corner. Peter Zulj assisted Yatai’s goal with a cross following a corner.
In the 17th minute, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu of Wuhan Three Towns made it 1-1 with a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner. Davidson assisted Abdul-Aziz Yakubu’s goal.
Liu Yiming added the second goal for Wuhan Three Towns in the 26th minute. In the 34th minute, He Chao made it 3-1 assisted by Abdul-Aziz Yakubu following a fast break.
Wuhan Three Towns extended their lead to 4-1 through Xie Pengfei.
Peter Zulj and Tan Long scored the second and third goals in the 64th and 75th minute respectively for Changchun Yatai.
