Ghanaian winger Aaron Opoku has officially left FC Kaiserslautern following the expiration of his contract after three seasons at the club.
The 26-year-old, who made over 60 appearances for the Red Devils, is currently a free agent and is reportedly attracting strong interest from Major League Soccer side St. Louis City SC ahead of the summer transfer window.
A club statement confirmed the departure: “Attacker Aaron Opoku is leaving 1. FC Kaiserslautern after three years with the Red Devils. The 26-year-old’s contract at Betzenberg expires at the end of the season.”
Opoku, who joined from Hamburg SV, featured in 61 games across all competitions, including 55 in the 2. Bundesliga and six DFB Pokal matches.
