Ghana midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh has expressed his joy after scoring his first ever Bundesliga goal for Freiburg SC on Saturday.
The 26 year old was on target in their 2-1 win over FSV Mainz 05 at the Europa Park Stadion.
Michael Gregoritsch gave Freiburg an early lead with his fourth league goal of the season before Kofi Kyereh’s simple finish on the rebound doubled their advantage in the 37th minute.
The visitors pulled one back after the recess, but the home team held on to keep the pace at the top of the table.
After the game, Kofi Kyereh took to his social media page to show his excitement;
“1.10.2022. A day I will never forget! Happy about the W and my first Bundesliga Goal,” he wrote on Twitter.
The win moved Freiburg level on 17 points with league leaders Union Berlin after extending their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions.
