Techiman Eleven Wonders climbed out of the Ghana Premier League relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Karela United on Sunday afternoon.
Both teams played well in the first half and created some good scoring chances, but neither could find the back of the net.
The opening goal was scored in the 62nd minute through Sumaila Moro.
Ten minutes later, Karela United’s improved efforts paid off as Joseph Baah was forced to score an own goal to restore parity.
Eleven Wonders did enough in the final 10 minutes of the game to secure the victory, with Laar Ibrahim scoring the game-winning goal in the 81st minute.
The defeat means Karela’s good run has come to an end but they remain in seventh place.
