Milovan Rajevac took 15 players through training on Tuesday morning, with the rest of the squad due to report later on Tuesday. Asare was one of the first foreign-based players to report and is now hoping he can turn in the performances at training and in the match to convince Rajevac he deserves that slot. “I will do my part in training and leave the rest to the coach to decide, but I am keen to establish myself in that position,” he tells KickOffGhana.com. The leftback slot has been one of the problem areas for the Black Stars, with the likes of Hans Sarpei, Habib Mohammed and Harrison Afful having had their chance in the past to stake their claim. If Asare gets the nod for Sunday’s game, he will be making only his fourth start in a Ghana shirt.
