Dortmund to battle Man United for Sebastien Haller’s signature

Sebastien Haller is reportedly one of the strikers Manchester United is aiming at recruiting ahead of next season.

The Ivory Coast international, who had a disappointing spell at West Ham, is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe, and teams are lining up to snap him up after a hugely impressive season in Amsterdam.

Curren Ajax manager Erik ten Hag will be in the dugout at Old Trafford next season, and reports he will look to reunite with the 27-year-old are gaining momentum.

United will however face competition from Borussia Dortmund, who will be in the market for Erling Haaland’s replacement.

The Norwegian is a target for Manchester City, with recent reports indicating he was close to signing for Pep Guardiola’s side.

United are in the market for new strikers, with question marks over Cristiano Ronaldo nad Marcus Rashford’s futures.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed the club will be in the market for new strikers during his post-match comments after the 1-1 draw at home against Chelsea.

“Right now, we very much rely on Cristiano, he also showed a good performance when Chelsea were in possession. But there has to be a focus on bringing in a couple of new strikers for sure.”

Ronaldo is the club’s top scorer this season with 21 goals, with the latest coming against Thomas Tuchel’s side on Thursday night.
