For this last day of the Champions League group stage, FC Copenhagen receives Borussia Dortmund at Parken Stadium around 9 p.m. (Follow the match live on our live commentary). The Danes have nothing more to play for in this competition, they are guaranteed to finish last in their group. It is therefore a match for honor this Wednesday evening at home to finish in style against a prestigious opponent. It is also an opportunity to grab a victory in this European campaign this season because their record is currently two draws and three defeats. On this occasion, Jacob Neestrup aligns a 4-3-3 with Vavro and Lund in the central hinge, Lerager, Clem and Claesson in midfield. Haraldsson will be at the forefront of the attack accompanied by Bardghji on the right and Daram on the left.
With a second place also assured before this last group match, Borussia Dortmund remains on two consecutive draws against Sevilla FC and Manchester City and will therefore have to try to end this group stage with a victory. Well ranked in the league, Edin Terzic’s men are on four games without defeats including three wins and only one goal conceded in particular. This Wednesday, the German coach decides to do without Jude Bellingham yet in very good shape with four goals scored in the last four meetings. Instead, Ozcan and Can are the starters in the middle. Malen, Adeyemi and Reyna are behind Modeste to form an attacking quartet.
Team compositions:
FC Copenhagen: Grabara – Diks, Vavro, Lund, Sorensen – Lerager, Clem, Claesson (cap.) – Bardghji, Haraldsson, Daramy.
Borussia Dortmund: Kobel – Passlack, Hummels (cap.), Schlotterbeck, Hazard – Can, Ozcan – Adeyemi, Reyna, Malen – Modeste.
