Hearts of Oak ended their long winless run in the Ghana Premier League after crawling from behind to beat 10-man Bibiani Gold Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-time league winners had spent 164 days since they last recorded a victory in the top-flight league and Prince Owusu complicated matters for the Rainbow club when he netted a stunner to bleak the path for new coach Slavko Matic.
However, substitute Isaac Mensah pulled them level before Gladson Awako netted from a jaw-dropping free-kick with two minutes of normal time left.
