Lumor Agbenyenu finally given green light to make Malaga debut

Malaga CF have been given the all-clear by the Royal Spanish Football Federation to field Lumor Agbenyenu in their match against SD Eibar on Sunday.

The Ghanaian left back, who recently joined the Spanish second-tier side on a free transfer, saw his debut delayed last weekend as the correct paperwork was not submitted in time.

Sporting director Manolo Gaspar confirmed that all the issues have now been resolved during a press conference on Friday.

“It has been one of the most complicated cases so far. Because of the Greek federation, foreigners, our own federation and LaLiga… But for the next game it could be. There is harmony and there should be no problem.”

Gapsar also thanked the 26 year old for his desire to join The White and Sky-Blues.

“Thank him for the desire he has had to come. We had a natural procedure, because of how he was physically, before making a decision. He has convinced us all and that is why he has been here.”
