Ghana and Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has showered praises on Liverpool talisman Thiago Alcantara for his stylish display and ability to dribble past opponents easily.
Thiago, who joined the Reds from Bayern Munich, came with plenty of pedigree but coronavirus and a knee injury meant Liverpool fans didn’t get to see him experience a run of games until the second half of the season.
However, the 31-year-old has since proved the doubters wrong and is now one of Liverpool’s most important players.
“I loved his game as a child. I like creativity and fun playing. When I played in Denmark, a friend of mine arranged a shirt from him,” Kudus told the club’s website.
“It was fantastic. The shirt is hanging at my home and I am very proud of it. Sometimes he plays on ‘six’ but then, despite his defensive duties, he doesn’t lose his creativity.
“No matter where he plays, he always finds the balance between defending and attacking. That’s how I want to play.”
Kudus has scored nine goals in 15 appearances for the Sons of the Gods in all competitions.
