Sky Sports Pundit Micah Richards has highlighted the importance of Thomas Partey to Arsenal’s success this campaign.
The Ghanaian international has been the anchor in midfield for the Gunners in the midst of their best-ever start to a Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won nine of their first 10 games, with defeat to Manchester United the only exception, and Sunday’s win over Leeds left them four points clear at the top after Manchester City were then beaten by Liverpool.
However, Micah Richards believes fortunes of Arsenal May change if three of their key men get injured.
“Arsenal have been brilliant, you always expect them to drop off but this season, they’re different.
“The energy, over the course of the season if they get injuries. The difference between City and Arsenal is City get a few injuries they play the same way. If they lose Jesus, Zinchenko – to a degree – Thomas Partey, all of a sudden they become a different team. As they are now they’re on a good run.”
