2022 Beach Soccer: Seven countries to compete at tournament following Nigeria’s withdrawal

The Nigeria Super Sands Eagles will no longer feature at the 2022 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

The withdrawal has been confirmed and officially communique to the organisers of the tournament, CAF.

As a result, the tournament to be staged in Mozambique will now only have seven countries competing for glory.

Following the withdrawal of Nigeria’s Super Sands Eagles, CAF has announced a revised fixture.

Group A will have three teams including host nation Mozambique, as well as Malawi, and Morocco

Group B will have a full group of four countries including Senegal, Uganda, Madagascar, and Egypt.

From the schedule released by CAF, the 2022 Beach Soccer AFCON will commence on October 21.

The first match of the tournament between Mozambique and Malawi will be played at the Vilankulos Arena.
