Hearts of Oak are set to confirm the appointment of Serbian Slavko Matic as their new head coach.

The 46-year-old trainer who arrived in Ghana on Tuesday night is expected to be formally introduced to the team at the club’s training grounds in Pobiman today.

The Phobians have been without a substantive head coach since the dismal of Samuel Boadu and his backroom staff a fortnight ago.

Matic holds a UEFA Pro Licence and has vast experience having managed clubs in Europe, Africa and in the Asia.

The experience tactician left Bulgarian club Septemvri Sofia few days ago after an shaky start to the 2022-23 season.

He previously worked in Africa as head coach of Egyptian club Al-Nojoom FC.
