Prosper Narteh Ogum will not join Hearts of Oak as their head coach according to his mouthpiece, Asante Fokuo.
The experienced gaffer won the Ghana Premier League last season with Asante Kotoko but resigned from his role after the season.
Reports linked him with a move to the Phobians after his assistant at Kotoko, David Ocloo, was appointed by the Accra-based club.
Speaking on Onua TV, the PRO rebuffed the reports and labeled them as lies.
“For now, coach Ogum wouldn’t go to Hearts. He think the timing and atmosphere isn’t good for him now.” Said Asante.
“He is a professional coach and just left Kotoko so wouldn’t want to join Hearts.”
Hearts of Oak fired Samuel Boadu as head coach and are in the market for his replacement.
