Ghana international, Kwabena Owusu displayed another top performance on Thursday night as he helped his Qarabag outfit to thrash Olympiacos 3-0 in the Uefa Europa League.

In a crucial matchday 3 encounter against the Greek opponent, the Black Stars forward was handed a starting role to lead the lines for his team from Azerbaijan.

The close contest between the two teams in the first half ended goalless after a goal from the visitors was ruled out for offside in the 5th minute.

After recess when things were tougher for both teams, Kwabena Owusu scored a woldie to shoot Qarabag into a deserved lead in the 68th minute.

That goal opened up the game allowing the away team to score two more goals to bag the maximum three points.

Goals from Marko Vesovic and Ramil Sheydayev sealed the 3-0 win for Qarabag at the end of the 90 minutes.

The win today has propelled Qarabag to second on the Group G standings of this season’s Europa League.
