Two of the Segunda Division’s biggest strugglers will meet at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López this Monday night as 17th-placed Tenerife meet with the 21st-placed Malaga in hopes of securing win number two of the season.

It’s been a tough few years for Malaga fans. By finishing 18th last season and 12th the campaign prior, it doesn’t look like the club will be able to change their fortunes much this season with them sat all the way down in 21st.

In fact, the only aspect stopping them sitting bottom of the table is how Mirandes have not yet won a game.

Malaga have now lost four games this season too, with the club also letting in a dismal nine goals already. They are now also on a two-game unbeaten run as Huesca and Albacete beat them in the past two games.

At the same time, with a recent 4-0 hammering at the hands of Las Palmas and a 1-0 loss to Burgos, Malaga sit with just one win all season long.

They did manage to defeat bottom of the table Mirandes in the battle in the bottom three, with Javi Jimenez, Ruben Castro and Fran Sol all scoring a goal each in the 3-1.

Malaga had eight shots on target in that game from 18 efforts, and it remains the only time they have scored more than one goal in a game so far in 2022/23.

As for Tenerife, things are not much brighter for them either. The club are sitting with just one win on the board too, but with an extra draw and one less loss on their board, they are sitting 17th and one point above Malaga.

Tenerife’s only victory so far this campaign has come against Racing, as Borja Garces scored the game’s only goal when the club had six shots on target.

They are now back in the losing column, however, as Ibiza defeated them 1-0.

Luis Miguel Ramis’ men have conceded six goals in the league now too, and they are struggling to put the goals in as well with only three efforts so far all season long.

The other losses for Tenerife have come against Eibar and Levante, with the club also drawing with Lugo in the second game of the season.

It’s set to be a close game with barely anything separating the two sides now that they have a win each. Forebet predicts a win for Tenerife and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
