Ayacucho FC vs Alianza Atlético – 19/09/2022

Alianza Atletico set for a narrow win at Ayacucho

3078

On Monday night, Ayacucho hosts Alianza Atletico at the Estadio Ciudad de Cumana in the Peruvian Clausura.

Ayacucho

The home side head into this clash on a poor run of form, as they are currently 21 games without a victory dating back to last season.

A 3-0 defeat at Atletico Grau last time out also means that they have lost six of their previous seven league matches in the Peruvian top-flight.

Their main problem in the league of late has been conceding too many goals, as Ayacucho has conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven Clausura matches.

Ayacucho also has a poor recent home record in the Peruvian top-flight, as they have not won in their last 11 matches in the league, suffering seven defeats in the process.

Their recent home matches in the league have also been low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in six of their last eight games.

Alianza Atletico

Unlike their hosts, Alianza Atletico has been in decent form of late, winning three of their last five matches in the Clausura.

However, they have taken just a point from their previous two league outings. Last time out, they drew 2-2 with ADT. The game ended a run of low-scoring games, as their last three games had all produced under 2.5 goals.

Alianza Atletico will need to improve their away form if they are going to move up from their current eighth-place position in the table, as they have won just one of their last seven away games in the Clausura.

That run includes six defeats. Finding the net has been Alianza Atletico’s biggest issue on their travels, as they have failed to score in three of their last four away matches in the Peruvian top-flight.

What does Forebet predict?

Forebet predicts that Alianza Atletico will record a narrow victory in a low-scoring encounter to add to the home side’s woeful recent league form.
