PHOTOS: Cameroonian side RC Kadiogo humble Asante Kotoko at Baba Yara to progress in CAF Champions League

Asante Kotoko suffered heartbreak on Sunday evening when the team lost to RC Kadiogo from Cameroon in the CAF Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors club today welcomed the opponent to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the second leg encounter of the clash in the preliminary stage of this season’s CAF Champions League.

Prior to the match today, Asante Kotoko had recorded a narrow 1-0 win from the first leg meeting.

Hoping to secure another win today to progress in the playoffs, the Ghanaian champions faulted and could not impress in 90 minutes.

RC Kadiogo shocked the Reds and won 1-0 to force the tie to be decided via the penalty shootout.

The Cameroonian club had the better of Asante Kotoko and won 3-1 at the end of the shootout to eliminate the Ghana Premier League champions.
