Defender Jeremie Frimpong was the star player in Bayer Leverkusen’s victory against La Liga side Atlético Madrid in the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Frimpong assisted Robert Andrich’s goal in the 84th minute and Moussa Diaby’s goal in the 87th minute.
The former Celtic defender played full throttle for the Bundesliga side.
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi who is on loan at Bayer Leverkusen started the game and was substituted in the 90th minute.
Bayer Leverkusen is second in Group B after today’s victory. They are behind Kamal Sowah’s Club Brugge who beat FC Porto 4-0 on Tuesday evening in the other Group B game.
